Darth Vader Jr. discovers the Force

Check out this cute commercial for Volkswagen. It's supposed to be airing for this weekend's Superbowl but has already racked up more than 2 million views on Youtube.

I don't think it will sell more of their cars though.  (Quick -- what car is it selling? Why should you buy this car? See what I mean?)

On the other hand, it does make me want to watch the Star Wars franchise all over again.  The Darth Vader theme ("The Imperial March", if you must know) is just so iconic! Plus that kid is just so cute!

McDonald's is where old men go cruising

Now I know one more reason why my grandfather used to go to McDonald's every morning to meet up with his buddies. : )

Lovestruck: Tan Hong Ming

I don't know if you've all seen this ad for Petronas Malaysia already -- but here it is.

It's heartwarming to know that in this world where people still distrust or even hate each other for being different from themselves, kids can still teach their "betters" a thing or two.

Tan Hong Ming is so endearing, no wonder this ad worked out well for Petronas. I don't know however if it helped his lovelife, now that the whole universe basically knows his 'secret'!

Jerry Seinfeld and Bill Gates' horrible SECOND Microsoft commercial

Ok. It's not as bad as the first one.

It's actually a bit funny too.

But I still don't see how Bill Gates and Jerry Seinfeld trying to get a "Simple Life" as a middle-aged Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie can help Microsoft sell more software. Or be perceived to be thought leader in software, the Internet or whatever.

If any, the only thing I'm getting out of this is .... hey, Bill Gates looks like the PC guy in the Mac commercials, doesn't he? He's a goofy, nerdy, even a bit loveable kind of a dork.

Waittaminit, is this supposed to be about refurbishing Bill Gates' image?

But okay, it's funny -- so watch it to get a laugh (it'll try your patience because it's long at 4 minutes 30 seconds) but I don't expect you to change your opinion about Microsoft just yet.

United We Rise: Nike USA Basketball Commercial

Check out this new commercial for Nike Basketball. Slick but not too cheesy -- and overall: pretty cool, I think. For a moment, I was actually a U.S. citizen and rooting for Team USA!
