The weirdest beverage you'll never drink this year

Introducing MeatWater, "high efficiency survival drinks" that come in a variety of non-drink flavors. Like what you ask? How about cheeseburger, Thai beef salad, Caribbean shrimp salad, Peking duck, escargots, Italian meatballs, etc. Check out the rest of the flavors here. Or not.

No indicator on the website whether these things actually have any meat in them -- but I suppose they'd be non-meat really. Otherwise these'd be called soups. Incidentally, they're better taken warm, according to the founder, in an article found  here.

Yech.

McDonald's is where old men go cruising

Now I know one more reason why my grandfather used to go to McDonald's every morning to meet up with his buddies. : )

Ladies, did you honk lately?

This public service announcement for mammograms does a fine job of reminding women about the need to do breast exams while being amusing -- and send-worthy -- at the same time.

I'm not quite sure that THAT'S the right way to do it though!

Quentin Tarantino in a Strange Japanese Commercial

This is a strange one that only the Japanese it seems would truly understand.

However, you can weigh in on what you think this commercial means at Mashable, which is where I saw it. There are some explanations there.

As for me, no explanations necessary. It's Tarantino, it's weird, it has martial arts moves... it's perfect.

How to make Office exciting

Microsoft Office 2010, that is.

Not bad as a video and in generating interest --- okay, fine, curiosity in the product.

I'm still skeptical though, since it's bound to be bloated and eat up a lot of space like previous versions (and if you need to produce a super-high quality trailer for a faux-movie to promote your new software.... maybe it needs all the help that it can get?)

And if you ever tried the Mac versions, you've probably been frustrated by the clunky interfaces too. That's why I usually work with Apple's iWork instead. Makes my life simpler and I get through work faster -- unless I need to export to something my Windows-using friends will need.

Obama's Been to Manila

Contrary to what we've been led to believe... Obama has actually responded to Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's phone calls. In fact, he's even visited Malacanang!

And there we were, clucking about how OA and trying hard PGMA was in trying to get Obama's attention. She even managed to feed him kare-kare!
