(It Could Have Been ) Love in the time of Facebook

Technology won't help your relationships much if you won't be honest about how you feel, and that's the truth in the time of Facebook -- and all other times before this.

Can you mash up Darth Vader's theme with Beethoven?

Sure you can, if you're Professor Richard Grayson!

Darth Vader gets the classical treatment ala Beethoven

And he can do it to other themes too!

Check out how The Muppet Show gets Bach-ed and fugued:

And here's James Bond and the Pink Panther ...

Cool, yes?

Tamara Lowe's One Minute Sermon

This has been going the rounds of Facebook lately and I thought I'd share it with you this Sunday morning.

Here's what she says so you can read at your own pace:

To be a survivor in this Amazing Race with the need for speed you need God’s Grace and if you're desperate like housewives watching days of our lives, you can’t cope without hope and that is not on a soap. If you're looking to Oprah or Dr. Phil you can shop non-stop or pop a pill, but the void won’t fill and the pain won’t kill until you love the one that hung on a hill. Kicking back in your lazy boy easy chair watching Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, nah you're not gonna find it there. No American Idol or Tribal Council has the final answer that will satisfy ya. C. S. I. ain’t got a clue. S.V.U. Don’t know what to do Not the E R or those seen on a CD TV DVD or MP3 can save you and me. CNN has got no Good News here’s a headline: you must choose. It’s not a simple life Paris Hilton, It’s treading on thin ice living in sin. You can be an apprentice for Donald Trump or eat Fear Factor fast food from a dump you can be a heavy hitter or Wheel of Fortune winner or a Fox news no spin spinner or flat sinner but you better check this life that you're livin’ and make sure your sins are forgiven I bet cha 50 cent Elvis done come and went, and eventually every Black-eyed-pea, Gwen Stefani, P-Diddy and Britney. Every wanna-be on M T V with their Icy Bling, every Dixie Chick that sings, they all gonna see the King of Kings. I don’t care if you're J-Lo, Leno or Bono. One thing you gotta know. Some day you're gonna die, Bro. Then where are you gonna go? Hey, i’m not talking some punk junk that is irrelevant. Like your Grandma’s church from way back when. It’s not some preacher feature on T B N. that you need to be liking or listening. The real superstar is Jesus Christ. He’s the Way, the Truth and the Life. One day he’s gonna split the sky. He is the brightest light and the highest high and so what I came to say and what I’m telling you is don’t buy that stupid stuff they be selling ya. It’s all designed to fill your head and waste your space until you're dead. Here’s the bottom line in my rhyme: Give your life to God while there is still time.

Wise words.

Amen!

Aliens are coming! Get out of town NOW!

Ok, not really -- but with a storm brewing like this one, you'd still be well advised to scoot as far away, pronto!

Insane driving challenges: loop the loop

Everyone has a crazy driver in the family, but I doubt if any of them have ever tried something like this:

Ouch.

In case any of you are inspired by that supreme act of motoring masochism, maybe you should watch this:

And that's why you should have paid attention in Physics class, kids.

Even better than predicted: Pacquiao KO's Hatton in 2

Manny Pacquiao's stock shot up yet another notch today as he disposed of Ricky Hatton earlier than anyone ever predicted. Most of the analysts said he'd do it within 8 rounds. Even his trainer, Freddie Roach, no slouch himself in the predictions department was off as Pacquiao did it in two rounds.

This time, no one will question Pacquiao's real ability as a fighter. No one can say that Hatton was a washed-up, past-his-prime fighter. This was no Oscar de la Hoya whose Golden Age had already passed. This was a Hatton still in-peak form: agile, hungry and deadly.

You could still say that after watching these clips courtesy of some ever-helpful Youtubers :

Full fight

another set:
Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

Hatton met his match. Scratch that. Pacquiao was more than that. Hatton was completely out-matched.

Five predictions:

1. Ricky Hatton will come to the Philippines to shoot a commercial for San Miguel Beer with Manny Pacquiao. (He's a Brit. He loves beer. He seems like a nice guy. So why not, right?)

2. The Brits will want a rematch. Maybe by end of the year. Why not? Their boy never really got a chance to show his skills, never mind that that's because he got thoroughly whipped.Pacquiao will beat him again, after which Hatton will retire.

3. Floyd Mayweather Jr will come out from retirement and challenge Manny. Sounds good to me. Manny will beat Mayweather. Mayweather will retire for good.

4. Pacquiao will retire after he disposes of Mayweather and after he demolishes Hatton again for their rematch. Who is else is left for the Pacman anyway?

5. Pacquiao will run for Congress again. He will lose. He will then enter showbiz as a comedian cum singer. He will be more successful in this second career. He will never try politics again.

I'm sure.
