The little monsters really get Lady Gaga, don't they?

Kids react to Lady Gaga's appearance on David Letterman's show. It kills me that the kids totally get Lady Gaga and respond so well to her -- thank goodness Lady Gaga is all for this as well (as evidenced by her Maria Aragon duet a while back).

Anyway, here's hoping that Lady Gaga uses her iconic status for the good. It would be such a waste to lose the faith of the little monsters.

We got Maria on Ellen!

This blows my mind:

One week ago she was an anonymous girl from Winnipeg singing a cover song on Youtube.

Today, she's on the Ellen DeGeneres show.

Next month, she'll be singing on a concert stage with Lady Gaga!

And it all began with this Twitter hashtag: #getmariaonellen

Was intrigued by the hashtag  #getmariaonellen on Twitter yesterday and discovered ten year old Filipino-Canadian Maria Aragon.

Thankfully, there's not much Lady Gaga and Black Eyed Peas (hey, I love them as much as the next person but you can only take that much, you know?) and absolutely zero Justin Bieber (sorry, but haven't we all had enough of 'Baby Baby' by now?)

This mash up is pretty good but I think I enjoyed the 2009 edition better.

Why Bieber's "Baby" beat Gaga's "Bad Romance"

This video by Justin Bieber has 251 MILLION views and is now the most viewed Youtube video of all time.

Lady Gaga's most watched video, on the other hand, still has to break the 248 million mark, even if it was posted a full three months BEFORE Bieber's.

WHY? 

Youtube's demographics, baby, that's all there is to it, as this post on Urlesque shows. 

Simply put, Lady Gaga's appeal is to a slightly older and smaller segment of the Youtube population. Teen girls, Bieber's base, apparently make up a much much bigger segment of Youtube.

All you need to do, apparently, is to is master these 4 chords:



Unfortunately, they don't say anything about hairography or PR and paparazzi-friendly antics.

For that, you'll need to do your own research.
