Presenting: The Youtube Symphony Orchestra @ Carnegie Hall

Only in the age of Youtube: the first orchestra assembled from all over the world through the power of Youtube. All members auditioned via Youtube and were selected by the Youtube community and some members from the world's most renowned orchestras.

Not that we should still be surprised. Youtube brought Charice Pempengco and Arnel Pineda to worldwide prominence and attention... why couldn't it have been done for something as relatively simple as selecting an orchestra's players?

What's next?

Auditions for shows seems pretty obvious.

This is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of harnessing the power of the internet for global collaboration.

What about... Invention-sharing, idea-sharing, solution-sharing?

I'm sure there's a "but wait... there's more!" as far as the possibilities are concerned.
